Verdion boosts London asset management team
Pan-European logistics real estate specialist Verdion has appointed Jamie Young as Asset Manager to assist in the running of its EUR1.5 billion European portfolio.
Young joins the business from CBRE where he was a Transaction Manager, working with financial and banking clients across the EMEA region developing their property strategy and overseeing the execution of transactions across their real estate portfolios. He is a member of the RICS.
Based at Verdion’s London headquarters, he will work closely with Director of Asset Management Simon Walter and Executive Director John Clements on VELF1, Verdion’s EUR310 million discretionary fund focussed on assets with potential for value add across Germany, the Nordics and other Northern European locations, and the management of iPort – its 800-acre UK multimodal logistics hub being developed in partnership with the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP).
Simon Walter, Director of Asset Management at Verdion, says: “With appetite for logistics investment continuing at pace, selecting the right opportunities is crucial for performance. Jamie will be a great addition to our team, both in managing key assets and identifying new additions to our growing portfolio.”
