Strettons appoints Investment Director
Strettons has appointed Jonny Doulton as Investment Director in the firm's Investment Advisory Service. Doulton joins from property consultants, Rapleys LLP where he was Investment Partner. During the last 15 years, Doulton has acted on well over GBP1.5 billionn of transactions nationwide.
The development of a more formal investment offering will complement Strettons’ office, industrial, logistics and retail agencies, and allow the firm to provide an expanded investment advisory service to new and existing clients.
Working on behalf of property companies, developers and institutional clients, the Investment Advisory Service will work collaboratively with Strettons’ in-house departments to offer opportunities for adding value, repositioning and redevelopment primarily across Strettons’ core geographic area of east and north London and the various sectors in which it operates.
A signal of Strettons’ ambitions in this area is the recent GBP43.8 million logistics sale & leaseback deal in Waltham Cross for Reynolds Catering Supplies. Strettons’ Industrial Agency department advised Reynolds, LondonMetric Property plc acquired off market.
Doulton says: “Strettons has long established credentials in some very buoyant occupational markets across the industrial and office sectors, particularly in East and North London. Strettons’ strength in these areas will undoubtedly present complimentary opportunities for our investor clients and for Strettons itself. I’m excited about the opportunities this will create for the firm and enhancing investment value.”
Strettons Managing Director Simon Tilsiter says: “I am thrilled to welcome Jonny to Strettons and for the firm to now be able to offer an enhanced investment advisory service to new and existing clients for both disposal and acquisition work. In some respects, this will be the missing piece of the jigsaw in terms of our overall offering and will further enhance the portfolio of services we provide to our clients.
“Jonny brings with him a wealth of contacts and experience across a wide variety of sectors including industrial, office, retail, automotive, PRS, student, leisure and hotel where he has advised a variety of pension fund, financial institutions, property company and private high net worth individuals. We are excited to add his investment expertise to the existing market leading talent within our company.”
Doulton adds: “I am delighted to have joined Strettons and I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues, developing the investment team and providing entrepreneurial insight to our valued clients.”
