Flexible workspace operator Yours appoints Landlord Partnerships Lead

Flexible managed workspace operator Yours has appointed Freddie Cousens as Landlord Partnerships Lead. His role will be focused on forming collaborative partnerships with landlords and their agents to offer fully fitted and managed office solutions to occupiers, under the rapidly expanding Yours brand.

Yours is a joint venture between Work.Life and global property adviser Knight Frank, which enables landlords to address the growing demand for fitted and managed offices, and to unlock the premium returns that are achievable.

Cousens is a chartered surveyor with a comprehensive background in delivering creative workplace solutions, joining Yours from Uncommon, where he headed the sales team. Prior to that he was Tenant Advisory Lead at Hubble, the online flexible office marketplace, and worked at Colliers in the central London Occupier Advisory team.

Cousens joins a team headed up by Knight Frank Partner James Nicholson and Work.Life’s co-founders David Kosky and Elliot Gold, as Yours goes through a period of rapid expansion. The growing team dedicated to Yours also includes the recent hire of David Kingham as Sales Lead and Anika Coutinho as Business Development Manager.

Freddie Cousens, Landlord Partnerships Lead for Yours, says: “Having spent my career working in the central London office market, it is easy to see that Yours offers a very attractive platform from which to capture changes in occupier demand. Yours provides occupiers tailored, plug and play workspace with access to a network of co-working sites, and offers landlords the ability to sell to a wider audience without any speculative CAPEX.”

“I believe there is a real opportunity to bring further flexibility to the office market through a sustainable business model, that is able to deliver a better customer experience, alongside increased transparency, faster transactions, enhanced rental returns and ultimately a more efficient market. I look forward to growing the Yours solution and serving landlords alongside Knight Frank and the wider agent community.”

James Nicholson, Partner at Knight Frank, says: “The office leasing market is undergoing a transformation to become more customer centric. The Covid-19 pandemic has increased supply and made the market more competitive, placing greater responsibility on landlords to deliver businesses more flexibility, more tailored solutions, and better service to differentiate their offering. Yours enables landlords to deliver on these requirements and partnering with an established and trusted team of experts unlocks the best possible returns with minimal risk.

“Freddie has deep expertise in this sector and will be an incredibly strong asset to the team as we grow the Yours offering. We believe that the managed approach perfectly addresses the colliding old and new models of real estate, creating a unique proposition for our clients, of which Freddie will play an integral part in delivering.”
