QSix appoints head of new affordable homes business
QSix has appointed Nick McAlpine-Lee to establish and lead a new affordable home ownership business aimed at boosting home ownership across the UK.
McAlpine-Lee was previously CEO and Co-Founder of Heylo, one of the UK’s largest shared ownership providers, and oversaw the creation of over 5,000 shared ownership homes in more than 200 Local Authority areas within the first five years of operation. Prior to this, McAlpine-Lee spent eight years at Lloyds holding senior positions in Structured Products and Infrastructure Finance. He has also held a variety of roles at PWC and HSBC.
This new business will complement QSix’s current Affordable Housing strategy focused on affordable rented housing, advancing the firm’s mission to provide quality homes of all tenures as part of their continued commitment to social responsibility.
McAlpine-Lee says: “I am delighted to have joined QSix and to lead a new strategy to increase the supply of quality, affordable homes across the UK and make home ownership more accessible. I look forward to launching the business in due course.”
Mike Hilton, QSix CEO, adds: “We are very happy to welcome Nick to QSix. He adds significant expertise to the group and will be an invaluable part of QSix as it enters the next phase of growth. Since our rebrand, we’ve recruited top talent from across the sector, allowing us to launch new strategies and uncover new opportunities.”
