Strawberry Star appoints new Director of Developments

Developer Strawberry Star has appointed Mario Luca Balducci as Managing Director - Developments. 

The appointment supports the developer’s mission to deliver an additional 2,000 new homes by 2025 in the UK.

Mario Luca Balducci was formerly the co-founder and managing director of Allies Group with GBP100-plus Million P&L responsibility. Before the Allies Group, he worked with Lendlease and Olympic Delivery Authority as the Development Lead for high-profile East Village (formerly Athletes Village), built for the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games consisting of 2,818 apartments and townhouses across 70 hectares master-planned site with a construction value of GBP1.5 billion. He brings over two decades of end-to-end property development experience to the team.

He joined Strawberry Star in November 2020 and will lead the Developments with a particular focus on integrating the Developments vertical’s objectives into the organisation’s long-term strategy of venturing beyond mixed-use developments and further strengthening the custom-build BTR homes portfolio.
