The Howard de Walden Estate appoints new Head of Property Investment

David McArthur has been appointed Head of Investment by The Howard de Walden Estate which owns 92 acres of London’s Marylebone.

Currently with Savills, McArthur will join the business on 21 September. He will succeed Julian Best who is to become the business’s Executive Property Director when Simon Baynham retires from that post at the end of September.

Best says: “David has more than a decade’s experience of working in the central London investment market, and is ideal for a role which entails enhancing the business’s retail & leisure, office, medical, residential and educational assets through further strategic acquisitions, disposals and development”.

The Howard de Walden Estate comprises more than GBP4.6 billion of assets and encompasses Marylebone High Street – one of London’s prime shopping and leisure locations – and also the world-famous Harley Street Medical Area.
