Kadans Science Partner appoints Head of Commercial UK&I

Kadans Science Partner has appointed James Sheppard, as the company's new Head of Commercial for the UK & Ireland.

Sheppard joins Kadans from Cushman & Wakefield where he was Head of Life Sciences. Sheppard brings significant life science experience to Kadans, having worked on some of Europe’s largest and most advanced centres for life science innovation such as The Francis Crick Institute and Imperial College’s White City Campus. Sheppard has supported a large number of organisations, both public and private in the development of their life science strategy and will bring this extensive knowledge to Kadans to deliver new projects and support Kadans growing tenant base.

The knowledge-intensive sector requires more than real estate solutions to be successful. We have to provide our community a variety of services and equip them with all the necessary tools so they can focus on their core business of innovation. With his experience, James has gained valuable insight and technical knowledge, enabling him to help Kadans to further strengthen the support of its tenants and bring forward new projects. “We are excited to have James on board, especially in a time like this where additional attention is required to listen to the needs of our community and service them with fit for purpose solutions,” says Steijn Ribbens, CDO Kadans Science Partner.
Sheppard says: “I am delighted to be joining Kadans at this critical point in their growth. Kadans have established themselves as Europe's leader in the development and delivery of research & development facilities in knowledge-intensive environments. The UK & Ireland life science sector has seen exceptional growth in the past five years. However, to unlock the next level of growth world-class infrastructure and real estate is critical. I see significant opportunities to grow Kadans R&D portfolio in the UK through joint ventures and new acquisitions. I look forward to working with the international team to continue to build a strong business."
