Madison International Realty signs UN PRI
Madison International Realty, a real estate private equity firm, has signed the United Nations-supported Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI).
The PRI is a global network of investors committed to integrating environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations into investment decisions and ownership policies.
“As the real estate industry strives to achieve greater sustainability, Madison’s philosophy involves working in tandem with owners and sponsors as an investment partner. Becoming a signatory of PRI reinforces our commitment as responsible investors and our dedication to the sustainability goals of the industry,” says Ronald M Dickerman, Madison International Realty Founder and President.
The six Principles for Responsible Investment are a voluntary and aspirational set of investment principles that offer a menu of possible actions for incorporating ESG issues into investment practice. Developed by investors, the principles have attracted a global signatory base representing a majority of the world’s professionally managed investments.
Madison International Realty has recently appointed executives Diana Shieh and Michael Siefert as US and European co-chairs of its ESG Committee leading initiatives globally across the firm. Madison is also a Founding Patron sponsor of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA) Foundation. The Foundation was created by PREA, an association that serves the global institutional real estate investment industry, to further the interests and values of the institutional real estate investment community by advancing industrywide diversity and inclusion.
Madison International Realty specialises in acquiring partial ownership stakes, joint venture positions, and listed property shares in prime properties and portfolios in major markets in the US, UK and Europe.
