Balzac REIM appoints Principal and joint MD
Pierre Pélabon has joined Balzac REIM as Principal and joint Managing Director. His responsibilities are to include Fund Management and assisting the company develop AUM beyond its current EUR1 billion level.
Pélabon holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Engineering from the Business School EM Lyon prior to which he gained a Degree in Economic Science from Université de Paris X.
Pélabon has 30 years’ experience in asset management in financial institutions in France including 6 years at Archon Group (Goldman Sachs). In 2007 he joined fund manager Ciloger to set up their Asset Management department for regulated Fund Management clients (OPCIs & SCPIs). Ciloger was sold to AEW in 2017 whereupon he became Head of Asset Management for all public listed funds with €6 billion of AUM.
Pierre is a member of the RICS, he sits on the Board of l’IFEI (Institut Français de l’Expertise Immobilière), and holds AMF accreditation (French equivalent of the FCA and the SEC).
