Savills IM adds three to research team
Savills Investment Management (Savills IM), an international real estate investment manager, has strengthened its European research team with three new appointments, bringing the team to six.
The appointments include Matthias Düsing as senior research analyst based in Munich; Hamish Smith as head of research, UK; and Matteo Vaglio Gralin as senior research analyst focusing on the Southern European markets and France.
Matthias Düsing joins from CBRE, where he worked for over four years, most recently as a senior research analyst focusing on Northern Germany and Ireland. In his new role he will focus on the German, Polish and Austrian markets and support the investment and fundraising teams with strategic market analysis. He succeeds Andreas Trumpp, who was appointed head of research, Europe, at the beginning of 2019. Düsing previously worked as a research associate at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel.
Hamish Smith has 4.5 years’ experience in the real estate industry and more than 12 years as an economist. He joins from Capital Economics, where he was senior property economist responsible for the European real estate markets.
Matteo Vaglio Gralin joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was associate director, responsible for the Southern European, UK and Scandinavian markets. He has 13 years of experience in the real estate industry.
Andreas Trumpp, MRICS, Head of Research, Europe, at Savills IM, says: "I am very pleased that our European research team is now complete and that we have gained three highly skilled experts with many years of experience. With this strong team we will continue to expand our real estate research and our positioning as an innovative pioneer. In our Outlook 2020 report, which we will publish at the beginning of December, all analysts have their say and present our expectations for the coming year. We also plan to publish two more sector-specific reports by the end of the second quarter of 2020."
