Hines makes trio of appointments

International real estate firm Hines has made a trio of appointments to its UK asset management, development and finance teams as it continues to increase its UK activity.

Donna Springall has been appointed as an Associate Asset Manager in the retail team. Springall joins Hines from The Crown Estate, where she spent over three years managing a portfolio of retail parks across the country. Prior to this, Springall was an Asset Manager overseeing several retail parks for British Land. Donna brings significant experience of development and management of retail portfolios.

Sean Hughes joins as a Development Manager and will work closely with Robbie Pitman, who became Head of Development at Hines UK in July 2019. Prior to joining Hines, Hughes spent over four years as a project manager at consultancy Faithful + Gould, and before this was an Assistant Engineer at Atkins.

Matthew Leonard has also joined Hines as an Analyst. He has recently graduated with an MPhil in Real Estate Finance from the University of Cambridge and will be supporting Hines’ acquisitions activity.

Ross Blair, Senior Managing Director and head of Hines UK, says: “We are continuing to invest in our asset management and development capability as our activity continues to grow in the UK. We have an ambitious pipeline of development projects and we are actively seeking more.

“We are proud to have a first-rate retail asset management team with the expertise to advise clients in an evolving retail market, with significant experience in mixed-use and development, that will be increasingly important in the years ahead.”
