Palace Capital appoints asset manager


Palace Capital, a Main Market listed property investment company witha diversified portfolio of UK commercial real estate in carefully selected locations outside of London, has appointed Tom Hood as an Asset Manager.

Hood will report to Executive Property Director Richard Starr and support the property team in deploying the Company’s strategy and maximising the potential of its GBP285 million portfolio. Hood’s appointment follows the addition of another Asset Manager, Abigail Rowton, to the team earlier this year.
 
Hood joins Palace Capital following five years at Mansford LLP where, in his most recent role as a Director in their Investment and Asset Management team, he was responsible for strategic asset management across a range of UK assets spanning the industrial, leisure, retail, offices, student housing, PRS and hotels sectors.
 
He started his career as a Graduate Surveyor at GVA in 2008, where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in their City of London Investment team before moving to BNP Paribas in 2013, where he was a Senior Surveyor. In this role, he was responsible for financial analysis, underwriting and development appraisals.

Hood is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He has an MSc in Real Estate from University of Reading and an LLB in Law from Durham University.
