The Carlton Group signs new office lease at 360 Madison Avenue

The Carlton Group, an international real estate investment banking firm based in Manhattan, has signed a new long-term, 6,000 square foot office lease at 360 Madison Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.

The recent move to this new space corresponds with the firm’s growth and continued upward trajectory, as The Carlton Group now features more than 30 specialised professionals and has positioned itself as the leading provider of equity and debt capital solutions for complex real estate transactions, raising financing in excess of USD5 billion annually.
“We have expanded and diversified our team and service lines in recent years, and wanted to upgrade our space to maximise communication, productivity, and collaboration,” says The Carlton Group’s CEO Michael Campbell. “Our new office accomplishes these objectives while presenting a modern and agile design reflective of our corporate culture and continued priorities.”
“360 Madison Avenue provides Carlton a superb location and workplace environment we desire to continue to grow Carlton’s business and be the best at what we do,” adds The Carlton Group’s COO and General Counsel Daniel I Bildner.
With more than a combined 27 years of experience at The Carlton Group and 45 years in the real estate industry, Campbell and Bildner ascended to their current roles as co-managing principals in November 2018 following the passing of The Carlton Group founder Howard L Michaels.
The Carlton Group has completed more than USD140 billion in transactions over the last 20 years, including securing equity and debt capital for trophy assets such as the General Motors (GM) Building in New York, Willis Tower (aka Sears Tower) in Chicago, The Edition Hotel in New York, Bank of America Tower in San Francisco and the High Line project The XI.
The Carlton Group finished 2018 and has entered 2019 with momentum, continuing to service and expand the firm’s robust client roster of domestic and international real estate developers, owner-operators and investors. This activity includes raising capital for multiple mega multifamily apartment portfolio acquisitions,  refinancing and recapitalisations of  hundreds of millions in residential assets and portfolios, developments throughout New York City and nationally.
Located at East 45th Street, 360 Madison Avenue is a twenty-six story, recently renovated Class A office building in Midtown Manhattan. The building is recognisable by its glass facade with energy efficient glass and features a modern lobby with concierge service, an internal building messenger center, and advanced security systems.
The Carlton Group was represented by Peter Goldich and William Carr, of ATCO Brokerage Services, in the transaction. Ed Goldman and Jared London, of CBRE, represented the landlord, Stawski Partners.
“The Carlton Group was attracted to the high-end pre-built layout that offered exceptional ceiling height with a central location close to Grand Central,” says Peter Goldich of ATCO Brokerage Services.
