Kennedy Wilson adds senior associate in brokerage division
Kennedy Wilson, a global real estate investment and services firm, has appointed Kyle Fishburn as a senior associate in the Los Angeles office of the firm’s brokerage division.
As a commercial real estate broker with seven years of experience, Fishburn specialises in leasing anchored shopping centres throughout greater Los Angeles. He recently represented Douglas Emmett’s Sherman Oaks Galleria, bringing the property to fully-leased status for the first time in five years. Among other transactions, Fishburn brought established local restaurant group Frida Mexican Cuisine to the popular regional mall anchored by Arclight Cinemas, Urban Home, Paul Mitchell, and P.F. Chang’s.
In his new role at Kennedy Wilson, Fishburn represents approximately 300,000 square feet of retail space in Santa Monica, Agoura Hills and the San Fernando Valley, including Whizin Market Square, a landmark shopping centre in Agoura Hills since 1954. Today, the centre is a hub of artisanal dining options, complemented by eclectic and locally owned retail boutiques. Fishburn will bring his experience in the Agoura Hills market and work in tandem with Christine Deschaine and Brent Ball, also of Kennedy Wilson, to continue building a tenant mix at the recognisable lifestyle centre along the 101 Freeway.
“Kyle has a passion for analysing market trends and applying the data to create tenant synergy at the properties he represents,” says Ed Sachse, president of Kennedy Wilson Property Services. “He generates value for his clients while bringing new amenities to the market. I’m excited to have his energy and perspective on the Kennedy Wilson brokerage team.”
In addition to his work in Agoura Hills and the San Fernando Valley, Fishburn represents properties on Santa Monica’s highly trafficked Third Street Promenade, a shopping destination with a roster of luxury tenants that reports USD1.6 billion in annual sales.
“Kennedy Wilson’s brokerage division has a strong reputation in the Los Angeles market,” says Fishburn. “I’m looking forward to being part of the team and serving my clients from this new platform.”
Fishburn received his BA in economics from the University of Arizona and is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and a CCIM candidate. He was also nominated as a finalist for Los Angeles Business Journal’s “Retail Broker of the Year” category in 2015.
