Glenhawk, a specialist property lender, has appointed Amy Wareham as Junior Underwriter.
Having originated GBP28.4 million of potential loans since the start of the year, and completed on just over GBP4 million, early indications are that 2019 will see accelerated demand for Glenhawk’s fast and flexible short term property finance. Wareham joins Glenhawk’s 20-strong team of real estate professionals, supporting an increasingly diverse range of borrowers across the South of England and Midlands.
Previously at LendInvest, Amy will be based in London, reporting directly to the Director of Lending, Nick Hilton. She will be responsible for supporting the underwriting team, expediting the enquiry to completion process and maintaining Glenhawk’s commitment to give all potential borrowers direct and speedy access to the lending team.
Wareham’s previous roles include Bridging Case Manager at LendInvest, Client Relationship Manager at SPF Private Clients and Sales Support at Coreco Group. She has extensive experience dealing with a range of stakeholders as well as structuring and packaging complex development and refurbishment deals.
Following a milestone 2018, which saw Glenhawk, from a standing start, complete on more than GBP35 million of loans and secure a GBP75 million funding line from Shawbrook Bank and Insight Investment, 2019 has started extremely strongly, with the provision of a number of multi-million pound loans including a residential acquisition in Central London and a refinancing in the West Midlands.
Guy Harrington, CEO of Glenhawk, says: “Whilst macro uncertainty continues to be a thorn in the side of the real estate sector, we have both a market leading offering and growing addressable market, meaning we are extremely well placed to build on our 2018 successes.
