Generali Real Estate acquires another landmark office building in central Warsaw

Generali Real Estate, through Generali Real Estate Fund CEE, has completed the acquisition of Senatorska 18, a prime historical office building located in Warsaw’s central business district, also known as Jabłonowski Palace, from S+B Gruppe AG.

The deal follows the recent acquisition of another asset located in the same area of the Polish capital, Plac Małachowskiego.

The former City Hall of Warsaw, Senatorska 18 was built in 1773, and then rebuilt in 1997 after being destroyed during World War II. It is located in one of the city’s most prestigious neighbourhoods, in front of the Grand Theatre and close to the Old Town.

Blending historical architecture with modern efficiency, the property offers 17,700 square metres of office spaces over five above ground floors, and is currently occupied by mBank, one of the largest banks in Poland.
