Strawberry Star adds five new hires to senior management team in London

London residential developer and property services company Strawberry Star has strengthened its senior management team in London with five strategic hires.

The appointments follow Strawberry Star’s GBP260 million acquisition in February of a 685-unit scheme in Luton and the listing of its investment structure on the International Stock Exchange in Guernsey that is looking to build a GBP500 million fund by 2020.
Santhosh Gowda, Chairman, Strawberry Star Group, says: “Strawberry Star has ambitious future plans for further residential and mix-used acquisitions in London. At the heart of what we want to achieve is the delivery of quality homes at lower capital values for aspiring first-time home-buyers living and working in and around London, and we have made significant progress towards this.”
“Creating a strong team that shares that vision is key to our future in London and I am delighted by and look forward to working alongside the new and growing London team.”
Matthew Leitch joined Strawberry Star as its Sales Director from CBRE where he was a senior director in its residential consultancy business. He brings a 20-year track record in residential sales and will drive the company’s domestic and international sales strategy.
Robert Hepworth joined as its Director of Commercial Investment from BNP Paribas Real Estate where he ran the Middle Eastern desk for its International Investment Group. Robert works alongside sovereign wealth funds, royal family offices, high net worth individuals and private wealth management companies, and will be responsible for sourcing and identifying yield-based and off-plan commercial opportunities in London.
Kekul Shah joined as its Director Fund Management from AXA Investment Managers, where he managed its GBP1.2bn interest in the development of 22 Bishopsgate. In addition to managing Strawberry Star’s growing fund, he will play a key role in growing the capital business and in raising further debt and equity to support future acquisitions.
Alex Lazarov joined Strawberry Star as its Lettings Director from Dextors Estate Agents where he was its lettings board director for West London. With 20 plus years’ experience behind him, at Strawberry Star he manages lettings and will lead future growth in both residential lettings and asset management.
Mike Vos, a real estate lawyer with a 40-year career, joined Strawberry Star as its Group Legal Counsel. He was formerly a partner at Cripps.
