Lovisa to open store at intu Potteries

intu, owner of many of the UK’s largest and most popular retail destinations, is adding international retailer Lovisa to its retail mix at intu Potteries.

As it continues its rapid UK expansion, Lovisa will open its 949 sq ft store in Stoke-on-Trent in November. This latest signing marks the retailer’s sixth store within intu’s portfolio, with existing stores at intu Lakeside, intu Chapelfield, intu Victoria Centre and Manchester Arndale, owned jointly by intu and M&G Real Estate. It also has stores opening later this year at intu Eldon Square and intu Watford.

Peter Barker, property director at Lovisa, says: “Situated between Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool, intu Potteries is the ideal location for our next store opening. Our stores have proved popular amongst intu customers and our brand will take the fashion accessory market in the UK to a new realm. intu is our biggest landlord and we’re excited to have them onboard.”

Colin Flinn, regional managing director at intu, says: “Lovisa is a great example of how an international brand is working with intu to expand its presence across the UK market,  rapidly becoming a household name.  intu Potteries attracts over 13 million loyal customers every year and, now with its increased leisure offer, we’re seeing customers travelling from further and staying for longer, helping all our tenants to flourish. We look forward to Lovisa opening later this year.”

Since the opening of its GBP20 million leisure development in December 2015, intu Potteries provides a complete day-out experience, from great shops to trendy hotspots to grab a bite to eat alongside a brand new Cineworld cinema. Multiple brands including H&M, JD Sports and Pandora have all invested to enhance their presence within the shopping centre by upsizing or relocating.
