Round Hill Capital appoints Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets
Round Hill Capital, a leading specialist real estate investment, development and asset management firm, has appointed Alex James as a Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets, based in London.
James will be responsible for Round Hill’s capital raising, fund and venture formation, investor relations and business development strategy, with capital markets resources in Europe, Asia and the US. Alex has a decade of experience in capital markets, having raised capital for co-mingled funds, separate accounts and joint venture investments into real estate globally. James joins from Hines, where he was a Managing Director in the Capital Markets Group and responsible for equity capital raising in Europe for Hines’ investments globally, as well as leading the structuring and implementation of new co-mingled real estate private equity funds, separate accounts and direct asset and portfolio transactions across core, value add, opportunistic and development projects. James formed an integral part of the team that since 2008 built up Hines’ institutional investor relationships in Europe.
A former British Naval Officer, James started his real estate career as an Associate at Lehman Brothers within the Real Estate Finance team where he was involved in commercial real estate finance across the capital structure. He holds a BSc in Astrophysics from UCL and an MBA from the London Business School.
