Regional property investment manager Sniper Capital has appointed industry veteran Robin Duxfield as chief operating officer.
Based in Hong Kong, Duxfield will report to principals Tom Ashworth and Martin Tacon, and has responsibility for all aspects of the firm’s business operations.
Duxfield brings close to two decades of experience in group finance and operations. The bulk of his career was spent at Financial Risk Management, a fund of hedge funds, where, over a span of 13 years, he facilitated the company’s growth to USD13 billion worldwide.
More recently he was chief operating officer at Altis Partners (Asia).
In his new role at Sniper Capital, Duxfield will be responsible for overseeing the firm’s operational requirements, including fund and deal structuring, legal and compliance, and technology. He will also be actively involved in business development.
His appointment fills the gap created by the departure of longstanding chief operating officer Tony Smith, who has decided to return to the UK with his family after 15 years in Hong Kong.
