Kames Capital has appointed two asset managers to its property team following a number of recent mandate wins and the launch of its first-ever Property Investment Authorised Fund (PAIF).
Iain Corker joins Kames from DTZ's retail asset management team, where he worked as a senior surveyor managing two shopping centres in the South East. Corker will work alongside fund managers Philip Bach and Helen Batten on Kames’s Active Value strategies.
Chris Munday joins Kames from Valad Europe, where he was responsible for the management of a GBP150million mixed portfolio of commercial properties across London and the South East. Munday will work with Sarah Cockburn, Kames fund manager and head of unit linked property funds.
In March, Kames launched the PAIF-structured Kames Property Income Fund, the first product managed by the Kames property team to be made available to the retail investor market.
Kames head of property investment Phil Clark says: “Property has long been a key focus for Kames and we have been seeking to further enhance our capabilities in this asset class as investor interest continues to grow. Iain and Chris add even more depth and investment expertise to the property team as we seek to build on our success with institutional investors and boost our presence in the retail market.”
