Prologis is to develop two logistics facilities in Central and Eastern Europe totalling 578,000 square feet (53,700 square metres).
The developments are both expected to be complete in the fourth quarter.
The first is a 323,000 square foot (30,000 square metre) facility at Prologis Park Prague Airport in the Czech Republic. The park, proximate to Prague's international airport, has land capable of supporting an additional 1.1 million square feet (102,000 square metres) of logistics space.
The second is a 255,000 square foot (23,700 square metre) facility at Prologis Park Bratislava in Slovakia. The building is nearly 40 per cent pre-leased to Geis Group, a logistics provider. The park is currently 100 per cent leased.
"These new developments will provide high-quality logistics facilities in two growing markets," says Philip Dunne, president, Prologis Europe. "The facilities are located in key distribution areas and will support our customers' supply chain needs in the region."
