Global recruitment firm Hays is to take the vacant 9,255 square foot first floor of the Orchards Street’s newly refurbished Spectrum office building in Glasgow’s city centre.
Hays will move into the building, which is located at 55 Blythswood Street, on 1 August after signing a new 10 year lease.
Current tenants within the Spectrum building include Scotcall, Mortgages PLC and Giles Insurance. The fourth floor (9,434sq ft) represents the last remaining office space available in the building.
Andrew Jenkins, asset manager at Orchard Street Investment Management, says: “Hays’ decision to relocate their business to Spectrum is a great endorsement of the building, its central location, and the high quality office environment it delivers post the recent refurbishment. We are currently seeing signs of heightened demand for well located, Grade A office space in the City and so are confident in our ability to fully-let the building.”
Akash Marwaha, operations director at Hays, says: “The Spectrum’s exterior is hugely impressive, however we are most looking forward to our new open plan office space and the building’s facilities. This is the ideal home for us for at least the next decade and we look forward to welcoming our customers to our new office.”
