Alternative investment manager The Carlyle Group has completed a further two long term lettings totalling 15,300 sq ft at its 190,000 sq ft Edinburgh office scheme, Tanfield, with Alstom, a transport infrastructure, power generation and electrical grid services provider, and FNZ, providers of platform technology and investment administrative services to the financial services sector.
Alstom, which operates across 33 locations in the UK and employs more than 6,500 people, has let 6,783 sq ft first floor office space on a ten year lease and will take occupation in March 2013.
FNZ, has leased an additional 8,500 sq ft as a result of its expanding Edinburgh operations and, following on from its initial letting in October 2011, now occupies a total of 25,800 sq ft at Tanfield. The building is 55 per cent occupied after these lettings.
Tanfield is situated on Inverleith Row and offers flexible Grade A office space with 297 underground car parking spaces. The scheme is designed to accommodate a broad range of occupiers with differing space and tenancy requirements, evidenced by its current high quality tenants which include AECOM, Craneware, thetrainline.com and Avaloq.
Ryden represented The Carlyle Group in both lettings with CBRE acting on behalf of Alstrom.
