Our Investment Funds Team provides offshore legal advice on fund formation, structuring, regulation and ongoing advice to investment funds and managers.
We advise on all types of investment funds, including open-ended funds, closed-ended funds, hybrid funds, single investor funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, mezzanine funds and structured product funds. We advise managers located through the world on the full spectrum of investment strategies.
Ogier Fiduciary Services (OFS) specialises in the provision of full administration services for private equity, real estate, infrastructure and mezzanine funds together with registrar transfer agent and directorship services for open-ended funds. OFS also provides operators, registered office and related services tailored to the requirements of the relevant jurisdiction and particular client needs.

 Nick KershawChief Executive of the Ogier GroupNick Kershaw is the Chief Executive of the Ogier Group and the Global Head of Investment Funds. Nick specialises in investment funds, real estate investment and corporate work. He was formerly ranked by Legal 500 as the number one investment funds lawyer in Jersey and by Chambers as one of the top two corporate / commercial lawyers in Jersey. He is a past chairman of the Legal & Regulatory Sub-Committee of the Jersey Funds Association. Prior to joining Ogier Nick was with Clifford Chance in London. EducationNick studied at King’s College, University of London and Inns of Court School of Law in London. He became an English Barrister in 1988 and then requalified as a Jersey Advocate in 1996, becoming a partner of Ogier in 1997. |
 Peter CockhillPartnerPeter is a partner in the Ogier group practising Cayman law. He served on the Ogier group strategy and management boards from 2004 until 2011 and is the former Managing Partner of the Cayman office. Peter is a member of the Cayman Islands Law Society, the Caymanian Bar Association and the Law Society of England and Wales. Peter is a director of the global board of Hedge Funds Care and is a director of Cayman Finance.
He is a frequent speaker at international professional association seminars and conferences. He is recognised as a leading funds and corporate layers in The International Who's Who of Private Funds Lawyers, the IFLR 1000, Legal 500, Plc Which Lawyer? and Chambers Global.

 Jane PearceGroup Director Of Ogier Fiduciary ServicesJane is a Group Director of Ogier Fiduciary Services with global responsibility for the Closed Ended Funds Administration business. Jane joined Ogier in 2006 and became a Partner in 2010. Jane trained with Ernst & Young and has been involved in the administration and accounting for complex investment structures for 18 years. Prior to joining Ogier, Jane was Head of Private Equity Administration for Kleinwort Benson in the Channel Islands. Jane has also held positions with Gartmore and Deutsche Bank.
EducationJane has a BA degree and a DMS in Management Studies from Jordanhill College in Glasgow and Teesside University respectively. Jane is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. |
 Colin MackayGroup Director of Ogier Fiduciary ServicesColin is currently a Group Director for Ogier Fiduciary Service with global responsibility for the Funds Services businesses which comprises of the Open Ended and Closed Ended Funds and Real Estate teams having joined Ogier in 2003 and becoming a Partner in 2006. Colin was the Corporate Compliance Manager at Caledonian Bank & Trust Limited in Grand Cayman, prior to joining Ogier, having previously served as an associate with Ritch & Conolly Attorneys also in Grand Cayman and MacRoberts, Solicitors in Glasgow, Scotland. Colin completed his solicitor’s training with Scottish law firm, Maclay, Murray & Spens.
