CB Richard Ellis Investors opens Dutch office at Schiphol

Real estate investment management firm CB Richard Ellis Investors has opened a Dutch office in the Schiphol Airport area near Amsterdam. The firm, which manages the Strategic Partners Europe funds, a series of valued-added and opportunistic pan-European investment programmes, says the new office represents an integral step in its European expansion.

A commodity hedge fund advised by Brian Hunter surged in July as energy, metals and agricultural prices suffered their largest fall in nearly three decades.

Guernsey fund assets grow more slowly in second quarter

UK insurer Prudential has appointed Harvey McGrath, former head of the listed hedge fund manager Man Group, as chairman in succession to Sir David Clementi, a former deputy governor of the Bank of England.
