Aviva Investors, the global asset management business of Aviva, has appointed Kris McPhail as assistant fund manager on the Lime Property Fund.
McPhail is based in London and reports to Renos Booth, head of real estate long income funds and lead fund manager of the Lime Property Fund.
McPhail joins Aviva Investors from M&G Real Estate, where he was director within the investment team, concentrating on acquiring and managing real estate investments for the long lease property funds. He has over eight years’ fund and asset management experience, with expertise across a range of sectors, including healthcare, leisure, hotels, pubs, residential and student housing.
The Lime Property Fund was one of the first secure income property funds to launch in 2004. The circa GBP2 billion fund invests in a wide range of long-lease assets including healthcare, education, offices, industrial and retail, with the objective of delivering a secure, consistent income to clients.
Most recently, the fund was recognised for achieving the highest 10-year absolute return on a risk-adjusted basis at the 2016 UK Property Investment Awards, which it was also awarded in 2015.
Booth says: “I’m delighted to welcome Kris to Aviva Investors. He has a wealth of experience in the long income real estate market. His cross sector expertise and impressive origination track record will be of great benefit to the Lime Property Fund as we continue to grow and manage the portfolio to meet our clients’ needs.”
