UIP Asset Management hires two

UIP Asset Management has appointed Michiel van Zadel as vice president of asset management and Will Rapaport as director of acquisitions.

In addition, Jonathan Mayer has been promoted to vice president of acquisitions.
Van Zadel joins UIPAM from Bouwfonds Investment Management in the Netherlands, where he served as portfolio and fund manager, overseeing USD1.5 billion of US multifamily investments on behalf of institutional and high net worth investors. His new role will focus on long-range fund and individual asset oversight, including data and risk analysis, reporting, and valuation.
Mayer has worked for UIPAM for nearly five years, most recently as director of acquisitions, with direct involvement in sourcing, underwriting, financing, and closing more than USD200 million in acquisitions. In his new role, Mayer is responsible for providing leadership in sourcing and underwriting new investments, presenting analysis to senior management as well as investing partners, and working with debt providers to build the capital stack for each investment.
Rapaport joins UIPAM from SL Green Realty of New York City, where he was an associate in the investments group. As UIPAM’s director of acquisitions, Rapaport is responsible for the underwriting and presentation of potential acquisitions, performing due diligence, securing and negotiating with capital partners, and managing assets from acquisition to disposition.
