RWC expands institutional team

Wed, 20/08/2014 - 13:36

Rash Patel has joined RWC’s institutional team.

Patel joins from MFS International where he spent eight years looking after relationships with institutional investors in the UK.

Previously Patel worked at Barclays Global Investors for seven years following several years at UBS, as well as Mercer and Fidelity.

RWC’s James Tollemache says: “Rash will be working alongside Joanna Lancaster who is responsible for our relationships with consultants. He has had a great deal of experience with pension funds and institutions looking to allocate to equities and RWC has developed a number of strong investment capabilities in these areas.”

Patel says: “Having been heavily involved in the development of a successful equity business in my previous role it was very important to me that I joined a company that offered a similar calibre and potential.  At nearly USD10bn RWC has established a strong base across a number of very interesting investment teams, and there is significant room for growth.  It was particularly appealing to me that I was able to work with two global equity teams that approach the asset class from different perspectives.”
