DA Davidson, an employee-owned full-service investment firm based in the north-west of the US, has hired research analysts Paula Poskon and Barry Oxford to lead the firm’s new real estate research team.

The hiring of Poskon as senior vice president and Oxford as vice president follows the recent addition of senior real estate investment bankers Keith Getter and Kyle Kaylor.

Poskon, who starts on 2 September, and Oxford, who started on 28 July, will work from the firm’s new New York City office and report directly to John Rogers, head of institutional research for DA Davidson.

“With the addition of Paula and Barry, DA Davidson now has a strong and experienced REIT research team to complement the recent new hires in real estate investment banking,” says Doug Woodcock, president of DA Davidson’s equity capital markets group. “Davidson is committed to building a leading real estate practice that provides excellent research for our retail and institutional clients along with exceptional advisory and capital raising capabilities.”

Oxford comes to Davidson with more than 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate sector, most recently as an analyst for Discern Inc. covering the office and industrial sectors. He previously was a senior portfolio manager in the global real estate securities group at AIMS Financial Group and at Colonial First State.

Poskon has nearly 15 years of experience as an analyst, with nearly 10 years in the real estate sector. Prior to joining DA Davidson, Poskon was a real estate analyst for Robert W Baird. Previously, she was a research associate on the food and beverage team for Lehman Brothers.
