Neuberger Berman appoints Asia Pacific portfolio manager for global real estate securities group

Neuberger Berman has expanded its global real estate securities group with the appointment of Anton Kwang as a senior portfolio manager for the Asia Pacific region.

Kwang will be based in Hong Kong.

The group invests primarily in real estate investment trusts (REITs).

Kwang was previously the lead Asia Pacific portfolio manager for Standard Life Investments’ global real estate funds.

“Anton is a highly skilled investor in the Asia Pacific property markets. He will be an important part of our global real estate securities team and will lead our efforts in the region,” says Steve Shigekawa, senior portfolio manager, and head of the Neuberger Berman global real estate securities group.

Before his work at Standard Life Investments, Kwang served as senior portfolio manager in Asia for Australian fund manager Perennial Investment Partners. Earlier, he was a director and head of regional property research for ABN Amro Bank, and a research/property analyst at NatWest Securities and UBS Warburg.
