Valad Europe secures four leases in Amsterdam for Landmark Portfolio

Valad Europe has signed two new leases and renewed two leases on a total of 1,540 square metres of office space at the Crown Buildings, Hullenbergweg 353 – 383, Amsterdam.

The asset forms part of the Landmark Portfolio that Valad was appointed to manage in 2013.

Wordhouse ATS, a translation, interpretation, and writing services company, signed a new 442 sq m lease for five years, along with BBN Adviseurs, the strategic advice and management for real estate companies, signing a new 387 sq m lease. Additionally, Bright Lease, the car leasing company, renewed its 415 sq m lease for a further five years and assurance company Horatio Assurance Group renewed its 296 sq m lease.

Comprising a total of 7,844 sq m of lettable space in two seven storey office towers, the Crown Buildings are located in the south east of Amsterdam, close to the A9 highway.

Richard den Hartigh, Valad Europe’s head of asset management for the Benelux region, says: “It is important for us to be able to attract new tenants to our assets as well as retaining and extending leases with existing tenants. Our remit to manage the Landmark Portfolio is clearly focussed on implementing an intensive asset management strategy and letting vacant units in order to improve income and capital values of the assets. The success of these lease transactions is testament to the skills of our local team of asset managers, using their local knowledge and skills to attract and retain a strong mix of tenant customers.”

Valad Europe has a team of 24 people in Benelux region, working out of its offices in Amsterdam and Luxembourg, managing more than EUR400 million of funds, invested in approximately 65 assets comprising office and industrial space and accommodating 650 tenants.
