Aeriance Investments makes two senior appointments
European commercial real estate lending specialist Aeriance Investments has appointed Kevin Davidson and Stephen Penny to support the company’s loan origination activities.
Davidson joins the business with a 20 year track record in commercial real estate lending in the UK and Europe. During his career he has worked for Nationwide, Deutsche Bank and JP Morgan, where he was responsible for the origination, negotiation and structuring of over GBP1.5bn of completed new loans for balance sheet, syndication and securitisation platforms.
Since the economic crisis, he has been largely focussed on loan portfolio work outs for Nationwide and Deutsche Pfandbriefbank. Over the last 18 months he has worked for loan advisory and management firm Situs, running its loan management operations.
Penny has over 35 years of banking experience of which 15 were in real estate credit. He joins Aeriance from Deutsche Postbank, where he spent nine years most recently as head of credit, a role involving credit risk assessment and management. During this time he was involved in underwriting circa 200 deals totalling circa EUR5.8bn of business volume. He is member of the London Credit Committee and Risk Forum.
Harin Thaker, chief executive of Aeriance Investments, says: “Kevin and Stephen both join us with long and proven track records in originating loans and managing risk through a number of property cycles. We believe their skill sets will strongly support us in our desire to grow and provide a competitive product to the market.”
