Prologis leases 406,000 sq ft in Mexico development
Prologis has signed two development lease agreements totalling 406,000 square feet (37,700 square metres) at Prologis Park Tres Rios in Mexico City.
This includes 250,000 square feet (23,200 square metres) with DHL Metropolitan Logistics, a subsidiary of postal and logistics provider DHL, and 156,000 square feet (14,500 square metres) with VF Outdoor México, a subsidiary of the world's largest apparel company VF.
"This recent leasing activity and the expansion of Prologis Park Tres Rios speak to the strong demand for Class-A facilities in key markets in Mexico," says Luis Gutierrez, president, Prologis Latin America. "Growing consumption remains a key driver of our business in Mexico and we are well positioned to meet our customers' demands in the country's most important growth markets."
Both customers will be leasing space at Tres Rios 9, the latest development at Prologis Park Tres Rios, one of Mexico City's largest master-planned industrial parks. The entire park totals approximately 2.3 million square feet (213,700 square metres) and has expansion capabilities to 2.7 million square feet (250,800 square metres). Located in Mexico City's premier distribution submarket, Prologis Park Tres Rios offers direct access to the NAFTA highway and downtown Mexico City.
