Orchard Street appoints Philip Gadsden as managing partner
Commercial property investment manager Orchard Street Investment Management has appointed Philip Gadsden as managing partner, from 1 January 2014.
Gadsden joined the Orchard Street partnership in May 2013, and has been heavily involved in the investment programme of the firm since that time – which has turned over GBP550m of transactions this year.
He has also worked closely with Gary Felce and Chris Bartram in strategy formulation for clients, and in areas of new business planning.
The appointment will give Gadsden the management of the firm, under the continued chairmanship of Bartram, and with the support and assistance of the other five partners.
Orchard Street currently has in the region of GBP3.5bn of client assets under management, and specialises in working for major investing institutions, UK and overseas in origin.
Bartram says: “We all felt very fortunate to have attracted Philip to the firm earlier this year, and he has made a considerable contribution to the business since that time. His experience in business management elsewhere gives him a perfect background to lead our business, as well as to work in a broad range of client services alongside the other six partners.”
Gadsden says: ”It’s great fun to work with a number of old friends and colleagues at Orchard Street, as well as to experience a wide range of contributions from many other experienced professionals within the partnership and in the wider team. I am convinced that Orchard Street can go from strength to strength in the years ahead, and I very much look forward to playing my part in that journey.”
