Duncan Owen to succeed William Hill as head of property at Schroders
Duncan Owen, head of property investment, is to succeed William Hill as head of property at Schroders, with immediate effect.
After almost 25 years with the firm, Hill will become an adviser to Schroders on property matters, ensuring a smooth handover of responsibilities.
Hill says: “After almost 25 years at Schroders, I feel that it is time for me to hand over the reins of the property business to Duncan. I look forward to continuing to help Schroders in my new role as an adviser to the firm, assisting most immediately with the proposed lease of One London Wall Place, which was announced yesterday.”
Philip Mallinckrodt, executive director, says: “I would like to thank William for his significant contribution to Schroders and we wish him well for the future. Duncan has done an excellent job as head of property investment since he joined us in January 2012 and is well-placed to succeed William.”
Owen (pictured) says: “It has been a pleasure to work with William closely over the last two years which has provided me with a depth of insight into Schroders’ property investment management business. I am excited about taking on the role and continue to see the potential for future growth.”
