MEPC appoints Martin Moore as non-executive director
MEPC Limited, which manages a portfolio of over GBP700m of business estates in prime locations throughout the UK, has appointed Martin Moore as a non-executive director.
Moore (pictured) has had a career spanning almost 40 years. He retired as chairman of M&G Real Estate in June, having previously been chief executive since 1996.
Previously, Moore was president of the British Property Federation, chairman of the Investment Property Forum and a commissioner of The Crown Estate. Currently, he is an adviser to KKR and a non-executive director for F&C Commercial Property Trust.
Chris Taylor, chairman, MEPC, says: “Martin brings tremendous depth of property market experience across all sectors and regions and this will prove invaluable as we seek to grow the MEPC platform further; as the UK economy recovers the opportunity exists to capitalise upon its proven specialist management skills and its competitive advantage in creating and sustaining growth from large commanding mixed use estates with distinct economic drivers.”
Moore says: “MEPC has a history of strong performance, an extraordinary portfolio and an ambitious leadership team. I am hugely excited to be given this opportunity at such an interesting time in the company's history.”
MEPC provides over seven million square feet of space for more than 1,000 organisations, employing over 16,000 people.
