Atrium strengthens executive management team
Atrium European Real Estate has appointed Liad Barzilai, the firm’s head of acquisitions, to its group executive management team with immediate effect.
Barzilai was promoted as Atrium’s head of acquisitions in September 2011, since when he has been responsible for building, assessing and, where appropriate, progressing the company’s pipeline of potential acquisition opportunities.
Barzilai oversaw Atrium’s purchase of Palác Flóra, Prague, in 2011, and was responsible for sourcing and executing the company’s acquisitions in Poland of the Molo shopping centre, in Szczecin, and the Galeria Dominikańska, in Wroclaw, in December 2011 and June 2013 respectively.
Barzilai has been at Atrium since its formation under new management in August 2008. Having initially started as vice president of business development, he worked closely with its chief executive Rachel Lavine and the rest of the management team on the turn-around and repositioning of Atrium, where he was integral to many of the key achievements.
Lavine says: “Liad has worked extensively with the senior management team over the past few years and has played an important part in the company's successful turnaround, being instrumental in both closing the transactions we have completed so far and in the ongoing building and assessment of our acquisition pipeline. I am therefore very pleased to recognise his achievements and contribution with this well-deserved promotion to Atrium’s executive management team.”
