Richard W Barber joins LIG Assets as interim CFO
LIG Assets, a company focused on residential and commercial real estate, has hired Richard W Barber to become its interim, full-time, in house chief financial officer effective 19 August 2013.
The position is expected to become permanent.
LIG Assets has also contracted the services of The Hall Group, Certified Public Accountants of Dallas, Texas to become its outside auditor so that LIGA can file to become a fully reporting company.
Barber has extensive CFO experience at companies such as Bank of America Investment Services, Computer Clearing Services and Global Asset Management. Other notable firms that Barber has worked for include J.P. Morgan and Ernst & Young.
Barber says: "I believe LIG Assets is currently structured for success, but the company is in need of a person with my experience to manage its cash flow, grow its balance sheet, effectively analyse its lease back contracts, close real estate transactions, and become a fully reporting entity.
"Based on my considerable experience in both real estate and finance, I intend to help make LIG Assets a highly profitable and fully reporting company that should, in turn, create significantly more value for the shareholders."
