Prupim leases space to Medidata Solutions at Metro Building in Hammersmith
Real estate fund manager Prupim has let 23,000 sq ft of The Metro Building in Hammersmith, W6 to Medidata Solutions, a clinical technology company.
The provider of cloud-based clinical development solutions has signed an agreement to occupy the seventh and eighth floors of the newly refurbished offices on a ten-year lease.
The company will move its UK and EMEA headquarters office from Uxbridge, where it currently occupies 8,700 square feet, to Hammersmith this February. The move to the Metro Building will facilitate the ongoing expansion of the New York City-based company throughout the UK and across Europe.
The Metro Building underwent an extensive refurbishment in 2012 and currently has 54,000 sq ft of office space still available, starting from 5,500 sq ft at a guide rent of GBP37.50 per sq ft.
Giles Difford, asset manager at Prupim, says: “Office transactions last year in Hammersmith surpassed the 200,000 sq ft mark demonstrating continued strong demand for space in the West London area. As the vacancy rate drops below five per cent and pipeline development remains restricted, competition amongst occupiers for well-located and high quality space such as The Metro Building will increase.”
