Parkway Properties has appointed David R O'Reilly as chief financial officer, effective 16 August 2012.

O'Reilly, who was appointed interim chief financial officer in May 2012, will also continue in his responsibilities as the company's executive vice president and chief investment officer.

"We continue to make strides in executing our strategic plan and upgrading our portfolio, and David will continue to aid us in this effort as he has proven to be a valuable asset to the Parkway team," says James Heistand, president and chief executive officer. "We have benefited from David's deep industry knowledge and relationships immensely, and he is an ideal fit to fill the position in this exciting time for the company."

Prior to joining Parkway, O'Reilly served as executive vice president of Banyan Street Capital from August 2011 through October 2011 and as director of capital markets for Eola Capital from August 2009 through May 2011. 

He also served in the investment banking industry as senior vice president of Barclays Capital from September 2008 through June 2009 and in a similar capacity for Lehman Brothers from August 2001 through September 2008.
