Prupim leases 89,000 square feet to Skype
Prupim has leased 89,000 square feet in 2 Waterhouse Square in central London to internet software company Skype.
This is the second high-profile TMT tenant to occupy offices in the building following communications group Weber Shandwick taking 64,000 sq ft across the first and second floors of the building earlier this year.
CBRE and DTZ advised on both transactions.
2 Waterhouse Square offers 183,000 sq ft of office space equidistant from the City and West End markets. Only 19,500 sq ft of prime office space remains with a quoted rental price of GBP39.50 per sq ft.
Giles Difford, asset management (commercial) director at Prupim, says: “London’s Midtown market, bordering both the City and West End, is thriving as businesses from the technology and media industries compete for space with financial and professional services businesses. This has led to considerable interest in our property at 2 Waterhouse Square and leading TMT companies such as Skype are indicative of the calibre of companies that it has attracted. We are confident that it will be fully let to a diverse mix of tenants in the coming months.”
CBRE and DTZ are the letting agents on 2 Waterhouse Square.
