Edward Symmons, the property and asset consultancy, has enhanced its machinery and business assets services with the appointment of Ian Millington as asset finance manager. 

Millington is based in Edward Symmons’ Solent office, one of the firm’s nine office locations across the UK which include Bristol and Plymouth.
 
He has spent the past 20 years working within the asset finance industry for Barclays Asset Finance, Deutsche Financial Services, GE Commercial Distribution Finance and Key Equipment Finance. 

Millington says: “I am delighted to have joined Edward Symmons. My principal role is to work closely with the valuers within the machinery and business assets division to develop new disposal and valuation opportunities with finance companies and insolvency practitioners.
 
“Having held roles within the credit management departments, together with all aspects of turnaround and recoveries, I am confident that I can act as an effective interface with insolvency practitioners and finance houses.”
