Cordea Savills expands Stockholm team

Cordea Savills has expanded its Nordic platform with three appointments to its Stockholm office with Patric Gustafsson joining as director of finance for the Nordic region, Christoph Vejde as an asset manager and Peter Broström as transactions manager. Following the new hires, the firm is moving to new offices in the Swedish capital.

Gustafsson has more than 10 years' experience in commercial real estate and finance, most recently as chief financial officer for Andersson Real Estate Investment Management in Stockholm. At Cordea Savills, he assumes responsibility for financial and fund operations of the Nordic Retail Fund.

Before joining Cordea Savills, Vejde was head of real estate financing sales in Sweden and Norway for HSH Nordbank, and he also held various positions at GE Real Estate for six years. At Cordea Savills, he is responsible for managing assets acquired by the Nordic Retail Fund.

Broström is responsible for new acquisitions in the Nordic region. He previously worked for Swedish property fund manager Niam on its opportunistic funds investing in the Nordic region and the Baltic states.

'These appointments not only consolidate our existing operating platform, but increase our capability in the Nordic region,' says Cordea Savills chief executive Justin O'Connor. 'The Nordic and Baltic regions are key areas of growth for us - they offer favourable economic and investment characteristics, and promise attractive risk-adjusted returns. Our expansion within this region reflects our confidence in the underlying fundamentals of this market's ability to perform even in times of slow growth.'

Cordea Savills offers services on a pooled fund or segregated mandate basis, with funds invested either directly in property, in investment vehicles, or both, and investment styles ranging from core to opportunistic. At the end of last year the firm managed EUR4.6bn of gross assets for clients including pension funds, funds of funds, charities and qualified professional investors.
